Texas Athletes Score Big Wins with Top-Flight Coaching from CMCI and State of the Art Training Platform from ConexTrain

Austin, Texas

Elite athletes in Texas are enjoying significant success in their competitive pursuits utilizing the potent combination of best-in-class coaching and technology. The combination of Chann McRae Cycling Inc (CMCI), an Austin based coaching service founded by former US National Champion and Postal Service Rider Chann McRae, and the ConexTrain collaborative platform has resulted in athletes logging significant victories and performances in cycling and triathlon competitions.

CMCI uses the ConexTrain platform to deploy and manage training schedules, and to communicate with its athletes. In the most recent two week period, CMCI / ConexTrain athletes have won the Texas State Championships in both the Men's and Women's Individual Time Trials, and also placed in the top three in the Women's 35-39 age group at the Spirit of Racine Half Ironman triathlon in Racine, WI.

In the Texas state Individual Time Trial Championships Robbie Robinette won his first individual state time trial title with a hard fought win over perennial favorite Scott Kasin. Robbie's training preparation enabled him to overcome the challenge of both a hard-charging Kasin and extraordinarily hot and humid conditions to post a finishing time of 52min.44sec. at an avg. speed of 28.28 mph over the 40K course. Robbie's victory comes on the heels of a 6th place finish at the US National Masters ITT Championships.

On the women's side CMCI coached athlete and Team ConexTrain member Allyson Brandt posted a strong performance to capture the state championship in the individual time trail, and add to her domination of the Texas women's road racing scene in '06 which includes wins at the Texas state criterium championship and the Fort Davis stage race. Allyson is coached by Jen McRae, co-founder of CMCI, and recent winner of the Athens Twilight Criterium in Athens, GA.

Meanwhile up north in Wisconsin, CMCI athlete and Team ConexTrain member Juli Fiocca was busy posting the fastest bike split at the Spirit of Racine half-Ironman triathlon event, on her way to a second place finish in the women's 35-39 age group. Fiocca cranked out a remarkable race by out splitting 8 time Ironman Champion Lisa Bently on the bike. Juli was able to go 4hrs. 55 min. in one of the toughest half Ironman events of the year.

CMCI founder and head coach Chann McRae was thrilled by his athletes' performances. "When I look across this season I couldn't be happier with the results. With Ally's multiple state championship wins, Robbie's stellar performance at both the national and regional level, Juli's awesome win in Racine and with CMCI athletes placing 6th place at Liberty Classic International Road Race in Philadelphia and 2nd in Tulsa Tough Criterium Stage II, its clear that we have hit upon the perfect combination of the right training methodology, and a solid technical platform to manage the plans and communication. However, we are most fortunate to have a group of athletes that are completely dedicated to achieving the best possible results on the race course. The summer has been exciting for us, and we are already looking forward to next year and to continuing the pattern of success."

ConexTrain founder and CEO, Tim Pletcher, echoed Chann's comments "We have been fortunate to work with customers like Chann. CMCI's focus on customer service and providing the best possible resources to athletes tracks exactly with our core mission at ConexTrain. We are excited about the future and are also looking forward to next year."

About CMCI - CMCI was founded in 2003 by Chann and Jen McRae with it's sole mission to better develop local and regional cycling talent by employing training methods that Chann has learned through his extensive experience on the world class cycling and triathlon scene.
