Check Presented to President of the Velo Club LaGrange and to Family of local Cyclist and Santa Monica Resident Killed While Cycling on Pacific Coast Highway Last September
WHAT: Check presentation of $25,000 by the Union Bank of California Foundation in honor of Scott Bleifert, local cyclist and former Union Bank employee who was killed in a traffic cycling accident last September on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
Check will be presented to Mr. Dan Weinberg, president of Velo Club LaGrange, and the family of Scott Bleifer to establish a scholarship in his memory. Scott Bleifert, 41, was a resident of Santa Monica and an active member of the Velo Club LaGrange.
Scott Bleifert was training for the Arthritis Foundations Amgen California Coast Classic scheduled just 14 days after the fatal accident.
