Cruzbike Offering Attractive Start-Up Program for Dealers

Cruzbike, Inc has started selling its upgraded version of its popular Front Wheel Drive (FWD) Recumbent called SofRider. Dealers interested in expanding their product line with an easy-to-sell recumbent will be interested to know that Cruzbikes look more like a regular upright bike than other recumbents and as such are attracting legions of fans. Cruzbikes have been sold into more than a dozen countries in their first year.

"Most recumbents just look weird," says Rob Redfearn, Cruzbike's marketing manager. "We have found that many riders who will stay away from long wheel base bents, with different sized wheels and long chains actually find our bike's design to be quite cool! This is giving us a huge advantage over the competition."

Cruzbike is encouraging interested dealers to register on their website. "We get calls from all over the country asking if there are dealers in the customer's area. Although we do sell our products via our website, many customers prefer dealing with their local shops and we are glad to assist those shops in any way we can," says Redfearn. Dealers are expected to purchase just 1 bike on their first order. "This is a no-brainer for dealers," says Redfearn. "They can list themselves on our site for nothing and benefit from our advertising."

Cruzbike has 3 FWD recumbent models to choose from. The SofRider has 16 speeds. The FreeRider has 8 speeds. The Silvio is a frame set, built for speed, which accepts standard size components and can be up fitted to the customer's personal preferences.

Each bike is fully adjustable for wide range of rider heights, so one size fits all. This reduces the inventory requirement for dealers and allows some families to share one bike. The first unit the dealer has on the floor is good for virtually any size rider. "This is a great selling feature," commented one charter dealer. "This is a great bike at a great price point. We are finding that it is very appealing to riders over 40, who want to exercise but cannot endure the pains associated with sitting on a regular saddle seat."

Retail prices start at under $1,000 for the FreeRider. The SofRider lists at $1,175 and the Silvio is $2,195. Dealers can read more about the bikes and sign up at
