Niner Bikes Announces IMBA-Themed Frame Contest
Niner bikes will create 25 frames and matching forks, painted with a special IMBA theme to benefit IMBA and enhance mountain bike advocacy. The theme will be chosen from riders' submissions. "For us, IMBA was the obvious first choice for this project," said Niner co-founder Chris Sugai. "They are the voice of our sport and do an amazing job getting out there to save and build sustainable trails."

State Parks Trails Conference Scheduled for May 28-31
Each year, CA State Parks holds a trails conference which is well attended by hiking groups, equestrians and mountain bicyclists. Trail advocates, designers, volunteers and staff will be gathering May 28-31 in San Diego. IMBA members have participated in valuable sessions each year. Ask your local club for a little financial support to send you!

Ask Your Senators to Modernize Hardrock Mining Policy
IMBA and its partners in the Outdoor Alliance (OA) urge you to contact your senators about the need to reform outdated hardrock minding laws. First, learn about the issues at stake by viewing an online video. Then, use the OA's action alert to make your voice heard.

Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program Faces Deep Cuts

The agency now faces severe budget cuts in the administration's recently announced 2009 budget. Learn more with this online review of the RTCA's budget (PDF download), then contact your congressional leaders about the need to protect the RTCA.

Mountain Biking Scene in Wales Keeps Growing Stronger
From Gwyydr Forest to CWM Carn, mountain biking centers in Wales continue to expand. IMBA has worked with planners and trail builders in Wales for more than a decade -- experience there will help our North American ride centers develop into a similar success story.
