ePerformance Announces 2007 Triathlon Camps
Cranston, Rhode Island
Triathlon training camps are an amateur athlete's best weapon in getting ahead of the competition, and ePerformance High Performance Consultants has announced its plans for 2007 with pre-season camps scheduled for Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and California. Camps in Massachusetts, New York, Coburg (Germany), and Zurich (Switzerland) will be announced soon.
The camps focus on each athlete's growth through high quality coaching and assessment, making sure all athletes enjoy and benefit from the training, and are closer to reaching their goals. Much of the training aspect is geared towards race simulation. ePerformance's goal is to send all athletes home stronger, faster, more confident, and a few steps ahead of the competition.
ePerformance offers 3 to 10 day camps for athletes of all skill levels, from sprint to long distances. Some camps are more technical or skill oriented, while others are endurance based. An elite-only component is also offered at the Florida camp. Each includes a professional bike fit, swim, bike, and run fitness assessments, as well as seminars. Campers train in small groups supervised by ePerformance's certified, experienced coaches, and workout volume and intensity is adjusted for each athlete.
Information and registration for ePerformance camps can be found at www.eperformance.ca, www.eperformance.us, www.eperformance-europe.com. Each camp is unique but all offer airport transportation, accommodations, fitness assessments, classroom seminars and materials, workout sessions, snacks, and sponsor goody bags. ePerformance triathlon training camps are sponsored by Atac, Lil'Dogs, Magnassager, Nuun, Profile Design, South Lake Bicycles, Swim Safe, Tifosi Optics, and Valdora Cycles.
ePerformance High Performance Consultants head coaches Luc Morin and Julien Périard are elite long course and short course triathletes, respectively, and have competed numerous Ironman and ITU World Cup races. They are both exercise physiologists with Master's degrees as well as certified NCCP coaches.
Starting in 1993 as sport and exercise physiology consultants for the Canadian Olympic rowing team and shortly thereafter for professional hockey teams, ePerformance became involved in running industry education. Through seminars on biomechanics, they became involved in sport nutrition. In 2000, ePerformance consultants added camp operations and management to their core competencies. While adding new staff and technology, the company began on-line coaching and training camps for beginner and intermediate athletes in 2003. To date, ePerformance has coached more than 500 athletes and teams and hosted 20 camps. In 2006, associate offices in Germany and Australia were established, and ePerformance continues to further its mission to help recreational and competitive athletes alike achieve their fitness goals and enjoy sport to the fullest.
