UVEX Sports introduces 3D fit system in top helmet models
10.04.2006 Cranston, Rhode Island
The perfect fit is three-dimensional. Every head is a different size not just around but also from top to bottom. UVEX Sports, an innovator in eyewear and helmets for amateur and professional athletes, introduces the new 3D Individual Adapting System (IAS) for its top bike helmet models because heads are, after all, three dimensional, and we think bike helmets should fit that way.
UVEX's proprietary IAS has always ensured a perfect fit around the head, and now the fit can be adjusted for the height of a rider's head as well. As before, the easy-to-access IAS knob at the back of the helmet allows the helmet's head circumference to be adjusted freely with one hand and with fine accuracy. Now, however, two rear fastening elements on the IAS ring allow the halo's seven-point adjustment frame to be attuned up to 22 mm, ensuring a more perfect fit for every rider on every ride.
Designed and manufactured entirely in Germany, UVEX's Wing RS, Supersonic RS and GT, Sport Boss and XP 100 models will all feature the IAS 3D for the 2007 season. And to ensure the wearer maximum comfort and hygiene, the head ring is covered with soft padding that is both anti-allergenic and washable.
All UVEX helmets are tested in the company's own helmet test system in Germany and comply with both the EN 1078 and American CPSC standards. For more information about UVEX Sports or to find a dealer near you, visit www.uvexsports.com or call toll-free, 1-888-616-UVEX.
